Board of Editorial Consultants
The Board of Editorial Consultants is composed of faculty members, scholars, and legal practitioners with recognized expertise in various fields of law. Editorial consultants serve in an international body of senior advisers who provide strategic, scholarly, and ethical guidance to strengthen the Journal’s academic quality and long-term editorial stability.
Editorial consultants are occasionally consulted by the PLJ Editorial Board on matters relating to editorial policies and standards, potential areas of scholarly focus, the expansion of the Journal’s peer-review network, and initiatives aimed at enhancing its visibility and reputation within both local and international academic communities. They serve in a purely advisory and consultative role. They do not participate in the Journal’s editorial deliberations, peer-review processes, or publication decisions, thereby preserving the independence of the Editorial Board. Consultations are undertaken on a flexible and as-needed basis.
The members of the Board of Editorial Consultants are appointed for an initial term of two (2) academic years, subject to confirmation by the Dean of the University of the Philippines College of Law.
